new year was a fresh experience this year - not spending in at home or in super crowded n rowdy places, but in a fren's place, with time spent on kingly fellowship n movie marathons.
went to corinne may's concert at e esplanade before gg to gabz place. was supposed to watch e 8pm show, but becos of the rain, it was postponed. Praise God, cos if it wasn't postponed, i would not have watched e performance n gotten a first class seat. :p anyway, we had 'teatime' at Max Brenner(oh man, you guys got to try e souffle... it's damn good!!) before making our way to queue for e concert. it was already fully packed, n we were just waiting for pple to come out of the concert so we could go in n sit. yunz n ber went in first, n soon after e concert started. i was kinda sad as i wanted to see her in real life, n not just from a screen. well, God did answer tat prayer, n in a supernaturally exceedingly abundant way. i was ushered to a seat right in front of her!! not more than 5 metres away!! woohoo!! i was even sitting even closer to her than her own parents.(smuck look) well, you can't blame me, i just have favor with Him. muahahahaha.
when we wanted to go to gabz place, we were very blessed as even though we took our own sweet time(finding e toilet or walking from one point to another), we were just in time to catch the last train to sengkang. very happy to reach gabz place after getting lost for a while(yunz was lost. hmmz. but at least she took us to 7-11, so forgiven ;p) n to my delight, they were watching... X-Men 2!! heehee, realli nice show. gotta love tat nightcrawler. oh, newsflash to those who love X-Men. Gambit might be appearing for the next instalment!! hehehe. praise God. my fav character. hiakhiakhiak. can't wait to see Him throw some kinetically-charged cards around. woohoo!! so cool!!
okok, back to ground n reality. it was nice watching moulin rouge n just singing tunes to it. especially come wat may. just love love love tat song. my fav song of the whole show. heehee. e shows lasted till 7, then it was to bed we went... realli too tired. woke up to e show yamakasi. super nice show!! it's abt modern age ninjas living in france n how they try to steal money from the rich to save the poor. storyline n plot is secondary thou, just seeing them jumping n flying arnd is enuf to make you go 'wah...'
we had a very very delicious lunch, thou gabz's sesame chicken is realli... erm... marinated. too much i guess?? e taste was a little overwhelming. it's just me thou, very particular abt food. :p
after tat was city of god. quite a disgusting film actually, lots of pple dying, lots of bloodshed n violence, but when gracie pointed out e cinematography factor, i saw the film in a totally different light, it was realli interesting seeing tat very single scene could be cut up into different still shots(frames) n it will make a very good photo. cool. gotta know more abt designing n photo placement... it's my weak point in photography...
we went out to had dinner at jade kitchen xiao long bao after tat. ERS came thru, n treated gracie to a nice meal(hehe, promised liao.) had a great time of fellowship. derick came to pick us up after tat n sent gracie home, while we went to al ahzar for food!!(again... scary huh??)
spent a long time talking to shan... abt e problems tat she had. guess i should just be a councillor. all in all, glad i could help. n she repaid me with a flood of photos tat she took thru-out her uni years, with me finding familiar faces like peixian n others whose names i can't remember. the world is a small place. :) went home onli at 5... by e time i slept it was like 5.30... oh God, give me strength for svc tmr...
woke up onli at like 12 noon... realli realli zhu. but got ready n went to church in time, n also to hear e 1st sermon of the year!! today's sermon was super powerful, a landmark msg in my opinion. realli got us ready n prepared for the greatest year we've ever experienced in year 2005. think God has a msg for all of us i think, cos talked to many pple, n realised tat each one of us gleaned different things from the msg, each taking different portions tat meant something to them. God is realli good.
well, spent like hours typing this. not becos i din know wat to type, overall, e time spent on actually typing them out took less than 10 mins i suppose. most of e time was spent on msn, talking on e phone n just listening to msges on my labby n getting new revelations. coming to terms with the fact tat God can provide for ALL areas of my life. as in realli feeling it drop into my heart. so happy!! heehee. sometimes, when we worry too much, it's not tat we are wise or thoughtful, it's just tat we dun trust Him enuf to take care of it for us. damn, Pastor Prince is so in the flow. someone pls give him a hug. gotta love him for being so daring to preach these stuff n being realli just a man of God, a messenger, rather than a mere preacher. praise God. :)
it's now 415am. i need to sleep. nite. may the Force be with you. want to watch star wars again... i'm incoherent... drats... bah... meh... moo... hahaha, thanx to e moo on the tree joke by wee boon. damn funny. wat's e joke?? heehee, secret. dun tell you guys. :p as you guys can see, i'm very much tired. argh, i should stop crapping. nite.
