a phrase tat i saw from someone in my Multiply list.. makes me wonder a lot of things. what drove him to say tat?? a sudden rush of melancholy?? events tat made him believe tat all hope is lost?? or simply by plainly living an average life in e world, which has become so dark tat pple r crying out for a Saviour??
the world is dark. everywhere u go, pestilences, wars or rumours of wars r occurring. you can't run away, you can't hide. it's as if everything these things r chasing you down. Sars, chicken flu, mad cow disease... dark things r all around. death n decay. the asian tsunami. e death toll is arnd 280k?? n yet e media reports tat it's not over, as death toll will increase as sickness now becomes e sword tat steals away e soul. there's no end to e darkness, not till our Lord Saviour comes again will these darkness start to clear.
we are in e end times. marc, over dinner at JB talked abt 'Left Behind' - e series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, which talks abt e struggle after the rapture. it is a series tat widely captivated e US audience, with increase of sales reported to be 30% after September 11. althou many pple refuse to admit it due to ego n pride, how many r calling out for a Saviour?? how many r looking for tat ship in e storm?? in these dark days, more n more pple r turning to Him, for these events, thou not caused by Him, cause pple to turn towards Him. guess it's just in some humans, tat only at their breaking point do they admit tat they need a greater being.
wat abt us?? us e salt, e light of the earth??
in the dark days, e light WUN shine brighter. well, not exactly tat is. as e night grows darker, the light tat was always there becomes clearer, more noticable. pple start to realise tat there is a light tat's shining, tat they failed to see before, but does exist. n as e world gets darker, e light will SEEM brighter. :)
n tat's us!! in e end times, we will be as light, as beacons unto e darkness of e earth. n by His grace, may each of us shine like e searing sun, as it is to e entire universe. let us be strong n rooted in His word, His grace, His faith in keeping e covenant, tat He will by NO means abandon or forsaken us, tat He has given His son, n tat now He will withhold nothing from us, cos we now deserve ALL THINGS cos we r all covenant, blood-bought Yahkids. dun see all things in your life?? all i can say is, believe n they shall be given unto you. depend fully on His grace, n He will give them to you.
these few days, faith was being built up in my heart, more in quality, n quantity. especially after friday's CG n sun's msg. believing n saying. ALL His promises r yes n amen. yes, there's no 'but' attached to it. just yes, n amen. sounds too good to be true, but isn't tat belief?? why not try, for once, to believe entirely?? why not give it a shot?? cos if u do, i promise you, you wun be disappointed. cos God onli knows how to deliver, n not abandon. God is a God who doesn't know e word failure.
