Phillipians 4:8
Glory be to e Lord God Almighty, forever n ever!!
was feeling rather down after mary tan. in fact, i was feeling quite down e whole day, just becos of one very minor detail. i knew i needed a solution. i knew i had to 'do' something. i 'can' make it better. somehow, i caught myself somewhere after tat n i knew i had to seek e Lord immediately, so i even left my dinner on e table n went into my room. prayed in tongues for a short while, n then e Lord revealed to me Phil 4:8. He just told me to read it. ok... fine...
Phil 4:8 - For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].
after reading this, i was like "from the rest of WAT?!?!" so i read e previous verses, n my heart leaped at these verses...
Phil 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! [Ps 37:4]
Phil 4:6 - Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
and then... e most shiok verse...
Phil 4:7 - and God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
woohoo!! the exact solution i needed!!! no?? well, it is!! it is!!
i was searching for a worldly solution, but i've skipped e first step... to not let my heart be troubled!! e devil filled my minds with all those stupid thoughts(idiot) and i was worried abt them. but praise God, His help is so near, just right in my bag, by my side, and almost everywhere in my room!!(referring to bible la) praise God He gave us e bible, for it's e ultimate n best 'word' we can rely on. in fact, revelation - HIS Words r the ONLY words we should rely on. not men. Hallelujah.
how abt e worldly solution?? well, tat's where verse 8 comes in!! all the REST shall come!! rest of wat?? we already have His peace, so now, all tat's lacking is His works n miracles. wat r they?? WHO CARES?!?! hahaha, e Lord's ways r never for me to fully understand. He can definitely do way beyond my own beliefs. so, i shall not restrict Him. so... tada!! i shall just rest n believe His promise lor. bochup!! heehee.
wat about my works?? who am i?? i can't even swim well, much less walk on water. hehe. praise God He makes us to walk on glass seas(somewhere in revelations i think). :p
