as u guys should know, i'm a thinker... of nonsensical stuff mostly, but well, while thinking abt wat pastor has been preaching recently abt our personal valuation of ourselves, this Value n Worth thing got stuck in my head.
n it got me thinking... as much as pastor's preaching got me thinking as well...[can't i take a break from thinking for once?!?! i mean even if it's just for a few seconds, realli experiencing stoning will be awesomely great... :( ] wat's my value?? how do i value myself??

as much as i tell myself n confess tat i'm His prince n His priest, i find tat in areas of my life, i'm acting more like a pauper n a thief. somehow, my life doesn't come in line wif wat e Word preaches. anyone feeling or experiencing e same thing??
well, tis is wat e Lord convicted me of, n pls, tis is personal. wat God says to u, i realli dun noe. dun take my personal revelation as ur personal conviction. somethings r meant for everyone to like know n learn n grow in... but tis is one of those tat r more like personally to me. so just take as reference n it being a nice read. sze?? anyway, i did give e warning above. so too bad. :p
anyway... back to e topic. value n worth. why issit tat somehow, my life just doesn't seem to bear fruits?!?! wat's wrong?!?! we could all argue it's season n time, n be patient n wait... but point is, wat's e point of waiting when e blessings r supposingly here ALREADY?? wondering wandering... well, wat e Lord spoke to me was tis, "tat i(anthony) has diminished myself. i'm insulting Jesus' work on e cross, cos i still put value in my flesh. tat i still trust tat i can do something to change it. n tat i'm not seeing my TRUE value... in Him." in other words, i'm placing my value n worth on e wrong me.
there's a huge difference. n tis difference is often n most likely e killer of christians' personal walk(in MY opinion). they know tat Jesus died for them. they know tat Jesus had died for their sins. or at least, part of it. now tat they know tat they r 'saved', they want to 'remain' saved. if not, since tat they r now christians, they must adopt e christian way of living. i'm realli treading on very thin ice here. cos i seriously think tat many ppl live like tis.

as innocent n 'righteous' as tis sounds, it realli is VERY dangerous n wrong to live like tis all e time. it's like telling ourselves tat we must constantly live by...

anthony's take?? wat's e meaning for sin n righteousness here?? tat they do not believe in Jesus, and that righteousness means e acknowledgment tat Jesus has died for them on e cross. as simple as tat. n furthermore... realise tat it's convict n convince THE WORLD. not u leh.

John 15(tat why i said in context just now...) says tat...
19: If you belonged to the world, the world would treat you with affection and would love you as its own. But because you are not of the world [no longer one with it], but I have chosen (selected) you out of the world, the world hates (detests) you.
see?? we are NOT of e world. n isn't it just so God tat it's in chapter 15(perfect rest!!) tat He explains His commandment to us?? tat we love one another as He has loved us. (verse 12) n take note, even when He says to love one another, it comes wif a pre-requisite - tat we know tat He has loved us. to let us know tat we can rest in His love, to be able to love us enough for us to love others. :)
coming back to my revelation abt putting our value n worth in e correct place, it's so easy to trust in our flesh, n so 'realistic' to want to do something to change our situation, as we were taught tat since young. not trying to be crude, but looking at my parents' lives, well, their 'works' dun seem to change e situation much, if it din change it for e worse tat is. seeing tat our true value lies in His death n resurrection, gives us a secret confidence... a hope... tat we dun need to be somebodies to be able to make it, cos Someone has already made it for us.
our true value, in Him, IS Him. :)
lastly, i want to leave u guys wif tis verse... John 15:16(i just love John.)
16: You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.
all that you ask, will surely come. dun trust me, trust Him. ALL. cos tat's our authority and position now. The Prince, The High Priest, The Son... in whom e Lord is well pleased in. ask, and you shall receive. anyone asking for a ferrari?? *wink wink
