Colossians 1:9-14!!
e Lord never fails. reading e bible today, asked for a verse in e bible to prove tat praying for others helps. n also, praying for specifically WHAT.

Colossians 1:9-14 came up!! woohoo!! i just love it when e Lord drops surprises like tis.
just a little re-enactment of wat happened.
antz : Lord, wat should i read today?? OH OH!! give me something on praying for other pls.
Lord : Colossians
antz : Ooi... more specifically leh... Colossians wat?!?! Colossians got a lot of chapters leh!! (actually i dun noe, anyhow hum-tum one, just being a spoilt brat as usual)
*waited for a while
*silence
*too long a silence
antz : You seriously think i will read e whole Colossians?? i'm not TAT hardworking lor...

antz : sze... tat narrows it down a bit. thanx. You could have told me earlier know? tat You were gg to do tis. dun keep me waiting mah!! (gosh, tis sounds so much like an ungrateful brat doesn't it?!?! but praise God, Daddy still loves me, Jesus still died for me.)
anyway, here goes... this is exciting!!
Colossians 1
9: For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understandings and discernment of spiritual things ---
10: That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition],
11: [We pray] tat you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy,
12: Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God's holy people) in the Light.
13: [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14: In Whom we have our redemption thru His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.
ppl, we pray for our brothers' n sisters' growth in knowledge and wisdom!! n knowledge n wisdom in wat aspect?? His will in all spiritual wisdom, understanding of spiritual things... isn't tat wat i just said in my last post?!?! abt knowing tat God's economy is opposite of e world's. we dun base our beliefs on our works n fruits(which we produce), but rather it's right believing first, THEN right living. then, it's His fruits, His glory. not ours.
oh oh!! i got another revelation!!! woohoo!!! in u guys take a look carefully at verse 9 to 13... look at e end of e verse... got it?!?! be it understanding of spiritual things, endurance n patience, inheritance of the saints in the Light(tis was e giveaway), links to e last one... e Son of His love. n then... e best... redemption of US thru His blood, forgiveness of our sins. (remember salvation?)
whoa... whoa... everything links back to Jesus all over again!!! seeing how Jesus IS everything, n how He died tat we may now inherit n enjoy all these things tat He has bequeathed to us. oh man!!
u need money?? His inheritance is given!!
u need spiritual growth?? His Spirit is given to you!! In you!!
u need patience n endurance, emotional help?? His glory, shown throughout the WHOLE bible, IS strengthening you wif JOY!! n isn't e Holy Spirit the Stengthener?!?! woohoo!!
u need deliverance out of darkness to light?? His Son of His love IS THE LIGHT!! n He has, had, DIED, DIED-DED for us to see n know!! u believed it at first din u?? tat tis love is true?? then hey, all ur needs, r answered thru your Saviour's death n resurrection for you, cos thru His blood, redemption is yours!! redemption from death, redemption from sickness, redemption from poverty, redemption from ANY form of lack!! emotional, spiritual, physical or financial!!
woah... now i know wat pastor means by preaching himself happy... i'm so so so so so... filled!!!
realli, there is no other answer or solution, other than Jesus. u can do everything u can think of, but it's all dead works. His one work ended all those. we work from rest now. we r doing martha's work from mary's position. anyone realises how blessed is tat?? mary din have it, martha din have it. differentiating factor?? Jesus's death n resurrection. sometimes i think tat knowing Jesus, how powerful, how caring, how loving He is, is not enough. we must know tat His act on e cross was FOR us. He did it, irregardless of who, wat, how, where, when we are. i mean look at it, from verse 9-14, it's comma, then fullstop. comma, then fullstop. n tis is e only portion tat appears in e whole part of Colossians 1 is such an orderly fashion. must mean something rite?? n why does it end wif the forgiveness of our sins, our redemption thru His blood?? cos i think e Lord realli wants us to know how important it is, to go back to the death, e resurrection of e Lord. tat act which qualifies us. tat act tat makes us worthy, IN HIM. tat we are worthless, useless, everything-less, without Him. tat without Him, we are worst than e air in the atmosphere, cos they at least r able to help others. but we... we of e lowest pedigree... can't even help ourselves.
but rejoice!! cos e only One true Saviour who was able to save, came n SOZO-ed us all. from the lowest, to e highest. wat an act. wat a sacrifice. wat love. wat grace. wat a Jesus.
dun wanna talk too much, think all those words tat i want to say or pray or convey, r already in your hearts. just keep on believing, brothers, sisters, in Him n Him alone, cos we are totally UNable to do anything to change e situation other than believing n receiving. let's do just tat.
