Loved
was just telling my sister yesterday tat i felt so loved by God, n she said something tat throughly amazed me.
"yup, He loved you from 2000 years ago."
tat may sound rather normal to most ppl reading tis blog, but i say to you, "selah."
take some time n realli ponder on wat tis statement means.
actually, it wun have had such a huge impact on me if not for 'Love's come down'. (it's e song u r listening to now.)
Jesus is Love. Love is Jesus. His one act of love demonstrated to us on the cross, proved His love. thou His word was final n needs no one or act to prove, but He came to our level, n proved it to us. not tat He need us in any way to believe in Him, to worship Him, to glorify and exalt Him, but it's out of His good pleasure, that He chose us. *note : HE chose US. not the other way around.
Ephesians 1:4 - 6 (Amplified Version) *those who dun have tis version, get it. NOW. *well, yes, i'm biased. cos tis version blessed me too much.
4: Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blamesless in His sight, above reproach, before Him in love.
5: For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent] -
6: [So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
wonderful huh? we are the chosen ones. before the foundation of the world, God saw the end. He saw anthony being the complete fool tat he was, n He loved him tremendously. He love him so much, that He was willing to give His most precious gift up for him. a gigantic, humongous, PRICELESS, solid block of gold, for a small, WORTHLESS, chipped piece of wood. n He did it with grandeur n gusto. with miracles n grace tat will withstand e test of times n trials, only for tis one boy to believe.
n boy did He perform a miracle n shower His love.
a testimony to share wif u guys. remember 2 posts ago where anthony was lamenting abt him not being selected for Mediacorp?? how devastated he was for a bit of time? well, e Lord answers prayers. OVEREXCEEDINGLY AND SUPERABUNDANTLY. From a place of 'nothingness', He gave anthony a position to bless in e Mediacorp item, n on top of tat, He reinstated anthony to be a backup singer for Sat-band. not tat he deserved it in anyway, but He still gave thru His Way. He changed the whole situation around. He made it so tat i would be able to join e recording itself, n not just tat, even e filming as well. all by His grace n love. n i truly believe tat He did it, just for me. dun mean it as an offense to anyone, especially those who were selected for e 1st round n then not selected for e 2nd. i'm not saying tat God dun love you. i really dun know how to explain it for ur side, other than believe that God has far greater n more meaningful plans in this time for u guys. God does things altogether for the good of YOU. doesn't sound possible, but when was God conformed to possible things, amen? only believe. hey, for all u know, maybe Mediacorp would ask for e whole choir to take part!! dun ever lose faith in His faith, cos it was already demonstrated thru Christ, for a reason, tat we can believe tat He's THAT good, for every blessing tat we dun deserve, for every favor tat is supposed to be foregone due to our iniquities, yet bought n brought to us, by His precious sacrifice. i know tat it's not easy, to see past the physical n to e Spiritual, heck, i was there!! but believe in His love, His great love. cos if believing was enough to receive e greatest gift of salvation, why not SERVING?? imagine...
SALVATION : e greatest n ultimate goal, tat all man seek for.
SERVING : perceived by some as a method to attain salvation.
yet in God's economy, He turn things around, tat we receive Salvation first, n then, out of a heart of thanksgiving, we serve Him back.
thru tis example, i hope tat u guys can see tat wat we believe to be a 'gauge' on our blessedness, is not as wat we were taught, so subtlely, especially in singapore. how one has to be e best to receive blessings, one has to do things to receive something in return. hey, in God's economy, everything is opposite. OPPOSITE. tat's why He's call God, cos God's e God of miracles, n if He does everything according to worldly standards, then it would be quite sad, woundn't it?? in His kingdom, we are given that relationship wif Him first, n then from there, great things r birth thru us thru e One who died for us. we r given e Solution first, before the devil could even throw problems at us.
it sounds damn cliche, to say this again n again, tat Jesus is the ONLY answer, but i'm realising tat more n more. wif each new day... seeing how pathetic anthony realli is, how useless n worthless... n e more i can't comprehend His death n resurrection for me. but heck, He did it. He's God, n i'm not. He has a reason i can't comprehend. heck, i dun need to understand tat!!?!?! i only know i'm loved. n i think tat's enough for tis life. all other things itself, i will ask Him when i'm in His bosoms up in Heaven. i think tat other than being a tigger, i shall be a kuala bear. i shall hold on to e Tree of Life for my dear life. no wonder they are so adorable...
i want to say a lot a lot more, it's just tat i'm like stuck. there's so much i want to say to u guys, especially those from choir... i want to say so so so much... but then, i guess there's a time n season for everything.
dunstan brother, i hope u see this, (know u will, in Jesus name!!) cos just want you to know tat you are loved by Love Himself. n tat you are not just loved, but you are the group tat He particularly likes. really. i'm realli realli sure of it. go according to God's economy k?? tat He has given already. all the blessings may not be seen, but they are there. trust me!! or if u dun, trust Him!! If He did not withhold His Son from you, wat would He withhold from you?? He freely gave you His Son, n now tat you are His son too(think abt it, it's true), He chooses to freely give you ALL things. a job, a blessed n complete n joined family. a good relationship wif all your frens n family in Christ. a good relationship wif whoever-the-blessed-proverbs-31-woman-might-be. but above all these, see first tat He has wanted you to hav a blessed relationship wif Him. to know tat above all else, you have Him. Him alone is enough. brother, jia you, u r not alone. wo yong yuan zhi chi ni!!! *kimberley-san is gg to have lots to say abt tis... sigh... Jesus... help...
just wanna sign off wif tis - all you guys, you have been Loved.
n maybe a prayer for all.
"Lord, i come to You in Jesus' name. Lord, let not our flesh dictate our thoughts n image of You. let the Spirit Man be strong Father, n let His guidance, thru peace n joy, be the ONE guidance in our hearts. let not emotions be our basis of judgement n focus, but rather in the promised peace n joy tat You hav bequeathed to us thru Your Son's death. Abba, we realise tat we are nothing without You. We need You. more than anything, we need You. let Your love, be it e realisation of it, or the feeling of it, be full around us, tat we will not draw our sights from it and the cross, the one sacrifice tat was made tat suffice for all. Daddy, protect us, from the thoughts of evil tat e devil may put in our heads. n we thank You Father, that we r starting off from the holy ground, the victory ground. on Christ e solid Rock we stand Father, n we declare tat by Your faith, You will keep us above e storms. Thank You Abba, for everything tat You have done for us, and we trust in Your unfailing love. we know tat thru every circumstance, even if it is bad, You will turn it around for us for the good Father, for tat's Your will for us. we praise You n thank You Father, n we rest in Your embrace. in Jesus mighty n loving name we pray. amen.
