. From the Inside Out]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i LOVE this song.
love the chorus especially.
'and the cry of my heart is to bring You praise, from the inside out, Lord my soul cries out.'
hallelujah. can't put it into better words than these.
cos that's my heart cry - to always praise Him, in everything i do. to love Him, if that's the last thing i do. to honour and glorify Him, in all things, all circumstances, all time, all place.
man i love hillsongs.
and their conference is again in july!! oh no!!
the dilemma!! should i go?? should i not go??
the desire is simple, i WANT to go.
but how?? how when my job is so time consuming?? oh no... grace grace...
*remembers pastor lawrence's message. sit... easy..........*
*smiles
well, it's in His hands... no use thinking abt it now when i dun have e answer. e answer will come. my part is to rest n relax. :)
again, i absolutely love this song.
u know, just a comment here. dun take it TOO seriously. just a rant at most. i love our church's songs. my rest, heir of the world, all glory and all praise, king of heaven, n most recently, my blood, are all among my list of 'fav songs'. but still i hope that our church can have something like united live. i wish tat we have an avenue where songs like from the inside out can dwell n take flight. yes, our church is mostly of working adults and of the older generation. but are we to neglect e younger davids n esthers?? i would love to have praise n worship wif dare n campus where there's more energy, more exuberance and more 'letting go'. i would realli love that...
oh well, God is mightier than man, and He knows wat's best. :) all i know is, it WILL happen. just when. hehe.
u know, the marvellous thing abt being IN christ is that we can praise Him anytime, anywhere, and in anything that we do and think and say. cos e Holy Spirit in us is in communion with our Daddy above. n He knows our heart.
just a verse to share with you guys.
Joshua 1:8-9
8 : This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
9 : Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
from the surface, this 2 verses r realli scary. cos we all know that it's NOT possible to 'do according to all that is written in it'. even e bible says in hebrews 8:9, that 'it will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when i took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I tured away from them, declares the Lord.'
yet, e Law was fulfilled by One Man who came and died on the cross. He fulfilled e Law and now we, e children of the new covenant, gets to enjoy wat was promised becos it is now fulfilled and we take His inheritance. in other words, our ways are prosperous and we have good success. :)
and just to support my point on the Law being fulfilled by Jesus, remember wat did Jesus say on the mount of transfiguration?? the first thing tat He said to His 3 disciples were 'do not be afraid.' and what He told them later, is about how the Son of God has come to redeem them, n be with them. exactly as the verse says. :)
do not be afraid, brothers and sisters. for He has come, n to redeem us from the curse of the Law. for His blood has once and for all, cleansed us of all our sins, once and for all, forever till all eternity. we are as righteous as He is now in Heaven, sitting at e right hand of God, always interceding and smiling upon us, calling us His own sheep, His beloveds.
"Lord, i thank You for Jesus death, and i appropriate it in my life in all that i encounter. i know tat it's not by wat i do that i'm judged or deemed righteous, but by the blood of Jesus that has been shed for me, and His one sacrifice is sufficient for my entire lifetime. Lord, i walk tall and hold my head up high now cos You say that e paths of the righteous are blessed, n You will uplift my head Father. i take not defeat or evil as my deserved items, but i thank You Lord that i now live a victorious life as You have called me more than a Conqueror, as Jesus has conquered all that i need to face. i now stand on the Rock of salvation, e Rock of victory. n Lord, for everyone else who reads this, let this thought of them being e King and e Priest themselves sink in, let it drop to their hearts, let them live life to the fullest knowing that You have made every single day a day that they can enjoy and be merry in. For You are for us, so who can be against us?? if no God is against us, then no man can be against us as well. we claim the favor that Jesus enjoyed as ours and we live under that shield of favor. thank You Lord, for Your kindness and mercies. we love You, in Jesus name, amen."
