saturday was a very fulfilling day... cos the mens n womens' meeting went on realli well. the preaching by pastor chin was so good for me... thanks edmund for letting me in!!
pastor was preaching abt a season of wilderness - how seemingly men(or boys rather), from the age from 17-30 tend to go thru. he puts it as a time whereby boys go thru a period of emotional, spiritual attacks. pastor also quoted examples of how Jesus was led to the wilderness.
wat for?? why, if it's Jesus... tat He's being brought to the wilderness?? pastor's answer was preparation. n if u look at the lives of great men of God, u'll find tat tat's very true.
so anyone going thru the wilderness?? *grin
i know i am. many a times i get emotional attacks(especially emotional, dun noe why). but God is good. He has given me the strength to take on things tat seem too big. n as pastor said, He that is in me is stronger than he tat is in the world. e devil may come wif outward emotional attacks. but inwardly, the buoyant joy n stable peace holds me. everytime there's an attack, i become afraid, i hide, only to find tat all along... i have been hiding, in His arms, in His shadow, n that He was protecting me. n as more n more i see, the stronger n stronger He gets in my life. bigger, larger, more apparent. n life becomes easier.
easier, not easy. still there r always larger attacks. still there r always more 'real' feelings n circumstances. but well, He gives me strength for tat day. :) n i know tat as the bears n lions r delivered into my hands, someday, the giants will come tumbling down. n it's not that becos they have to, but rather they already did. just a manifestation to come. :)
woah, this post is realli fast to type. haha. i'm in office right now actually. everyone busy around me. n well, i'm busy too... reading up on a lot of materials... pricelists r kil.... life-givers. :p must speak things as thou they are. haha. yeah. it's a chore... but the burden is light. n it's a real joy replying n trying to help all those who r looking for ipods n ibooks n macs... i just love helping them. hehe. anyway... yup, i'm busy, but studying non-stop is just not right... we all need a break. so anthony decided to take a short one, n tada! tis post is born. n God is realli good. He gives anthony the words to type n e speed n right keys to hit as well!! u guys wun believe how smooth the typing is... so cool. haha. oh well, just seeing God in the little things. :)
n well, to all those who r feeling dry, who r feeling a little low on gas, a little 'E' is bleeping for ur fuel gauge. hey, God is preparing you. for wat?? for great things!!! din pastor say on saturday night?? that we were all made for great things. greater things than wat we r doing. n greater things than wat we can think or even imagine. for one i know tat anthony is not going to be stuck here doing his 'job' forever. anthony is made to be a psalmist. n thou i do not know how He is going to change my life in the future to suit tat calling... but hey, who am i to worry?? it's HIS plans yeah? i'm just a mic, He's the voice tat will shout His own glory n fame. :) selah.
so yeah. just continue wat u r doing. be it studying or working or just slacking... God knows ur heart n ur calling n He's preparing you for it. He loves you too much to save u n just let u fallow(is this e word?? someone correct me if i'm wrong). just like a good piece of land. the seed, that incorruptible seed was planted in us, n how can the Planter let the seed go to waste?? He will till the land, fertilise it, tend to it everyday... tat it will birth a good strong tree, bearing sweet, admirable fruits. n guess wat?? Jesus has been planted in us, n He's living in us, growing everyday, growing stronger. till tat one day, when ppl looks at us, that glory of Him will outshine our own fleshy impurities... tat ppl will say... Jesus... instead of anthony. yeah... man i want tat now. :p
n i can't wait for tat day!!! when my day of testing n trials is over. n i'm so glad i'm on the accelerated path. :)
pastor chin was talking on how we can be on that accelerated path of 'growing out' of the wilderness. n the secret?? it's to sit at Jesus feet. the ONE thing needful. the definite article. woot!! to grow in wisdom, to grow in prosperity, to grow in power, comes from one thing... it's to having tat relationship wif the Father. our Daddy. so reading the bible, praying in tongues, fellowshipping wif brothers n sisters... tat's all good. but all those would come to no avail... if the focus is not on having tat crucial relationship wif our Daddy in heaven. tat's the most impt yeah?? :)
n those who feel their problem is in their walk wif Daddy... tat He seems far away n tat u r feeling empty... tat He doesn't answer no matter how u call... wat does the bible say to that?? ask n you shall receive, seek n you shall find, knock, n see the door opened to you. n as if it's not enuf, in the next verse(mark 7:7-8 for those who love e word), it confirms again. so realli... ask. seek. knock. He will come. not base on my words, not base on empty promises. but by the double assurances of my loving Daddy. :) be loved.
n well, gotta give credit to all the organisers n dancers n singers n musicians tat did 'His' thing on sat!! you guys were awesome!! the event was smooth(organisers rock!!), the dance was inspiring(bravo to the choreographer n the marvellous dancers), n u just gotta give it to them... the music min rocked!! woot! the praise was so liberating... n the worship was so... drawing. it was so attracting me to see more of His love, His beauty. all glory to Jesus who made it all happen. :)
so ok... gotta go. meeting coming up. n God made this so fast!! weeee!!!
